Tang Huisheng is a professor of archaeology at Hebei Normal University. He studied prehistoric art in Italy, then later held the title of deputy director and researcher at Qinghai Institute of Archaeology.
Between 2001 and 2012, Tang was a professor and associate dean of the Department of Arts and Sciences at Nanjing Normal University. In that time, he also served as visiting professor at the University of North Carolina, where he taught a course on the archaeology of the Tibetan Plateau.
Tang holds a B.A. in archaeology from China’s Northwest University.
