Originally from Chongqing, Alice Zhang has explored much of China, from Gansu and Inner Mongolia to Yunnan and Guangxi. A favorite trip took her hitchhiking along the Silk Road and camping beside Sayram Lake. She brings that curiosity to the journeys she designs. Outside work, she enjoys hiking, films, and karaoke.

Cheryl Wang grew up in Chengdu and studied global communication and Russian in Shanghai. She is known for the care she puts into each itinerary and for arranging moments guests might never have thought to request, such as a surprise lunch in Suzhou. Her interest in bringing people together shapes the experiences she plans across China.

A Chengdu native who speaks Mandarin, English, and German, Dani Su spent a year in Germany in 2018. Meeting people who were curious about Chinese culture inspired her to help travelers explore her home country. Dani enjoys Sichuan food, mountain adventures, and traditional handicrafts, interests that give her plenty to draw on when planning a trip.

Estela Li grew up in Sichuan and developed a love of travel and China’s landscapes during college. She designs journeys by first understanding what matters to each guest, then paying careful attention to the details. Outside work, she enjoys reading and visiting museums and art exhibitions wherever she travels.

Eva Pei grew up in Guangdong, has roots in Jiangxi, and now lives in Beijing. Fluent in English and French, she draws on her travels across China to design journeys around each guest’s interests. Her adventurous side once took her up Mount Tai alone at night for a sunrise from the summit.

Faina Zhang studied Russian at Lanzhou University and has traveled to 34 of China’s provincial-level regions. As a travel designer, she focuses on community-based experiences in Zhangjiajie and has extensive experience planning trips for families with children. She has also driven the G318, Xinjiang–Tibet, and Sichuan–Tibet routes.

Fang Fang’s decision to work in travel began with a semester studying in Taiwan, where time spent in local communities changed how she understood a place. Raised in Hangzhou and now based in Shanghai, she continues to explore China on foot. She has arranged experiences ranging from Great Wall helicopter flights to journeys tracing a guest’s family history.

Isabel Wang grew up in Hebei and has traveled frequently since her teenage years. She has also lived in Hangzhou, Beijing, and Chengdu, gathering firsthand knowledge of different parts of China. Isabel enjoys meeting people across cultures and puts those connections at the center of her work. She is also an enthusiastic home cook and a devoted fan of Peking duck.

Jenny Zhao leads WildChina’s leisure travel team, drawing on nearly two decades of experience across China. Her own journeys have taken her through remote Yunnan villages, to Everest Base Camp, and along the Silk Road. She has also helped develop specialized trips focused on food and wine, combining broad destination knowledge with close attention to each guest’s interests.

Joaquín Yue designs journeys for Spanish-speaking travelers. Raised in Liaoning, he later studied in Cuba, an experience that broadened his understanding of how travel can connect people across cultures. His itineraries focus on local traditions and communities, while his knowledge of northeastern China gives him a personal perspective on a region he calls home.

Juanita Huang is a Spanish-speaking designer on WildChina’s Latin America team. From Quanzhou in Fujian Province, she studied Spanish in Beijing and gained experience working with the Chilean and Peruvian embassies. Juanita believes small details can change a trip, whether that means remembering a guest’s favorite coffee or finding the right moment for a photograph.

Lia Roticiani is an Italian travel designer based in Chengdu who hopes to introduce more Italian travelers to China. She wrote her university thesis on an early Chinese cookbook, reflecting her interest in food and cultural exchange. Lia speaks Italian, English, and Chinese, along with some Spanish and French.

Lucille Li grew up in Sichuan and has since lived, studied, and worked in Macau, Shanghai, and Munich. Those experiences guide her interest in journeys that allow travelers to spend time with local people and hear their stories. Away from itinerary planning, she enjoys hiking, dancing, reading, and experimenting with new recipes.

Lulu studied English Interpretation at Beijing Language and Culture University, where meeting people from around the world strengthened her interest in cultural exchange. As a WildChina travel designer, she listens closely to each guest’s needs and plans journeys that balance comfort, discovery, and time with local people.

Mia Liu’s childhood in coastal Jinzhou and her studies in Melbourne shaped her interest in the people she meets while traveling. Now based in Chengdu, she looks for ways to leave room in an itinerary for an unexpected meal, conversation, or festival. She also enjoys photography and sketching, often turning her attention to everyday scenes.

Muzhao Hou designs journeys that help travelers understand a place beyond its landmarks. Based in her native Beijing, she is especially interested in historic neighborhoods and the daily life within them. Her research on heritage preservation in Shenzhen informs the way she introduces guests to places shaped by both history and change.

Originally from Jammu and Kashmir, India, Pallavi Sareen came to China as a Schwarzman Scholar at Tsinghua University. She spent her breaks exploring the country and getting to know local people, and has now visited all but four of its provinces. Pallavi uses that firsthand experience to plan journeys around each traveler’s interests.

Phoebe Yang grew up in Panzhihua and Chengdu before studying in France and the UK. Her travels, from paragliding in Turkey to exploring Northwest China, inform the journeys she designs. A Chengdu local and Sichuan food enthusiast, she enjoys adding thoughtful details that reflect each traveler’s interests.

Growing up in Guiyang, Qiujing Peng was surrounded by Guizhou’s varied landscapes and cultures. After traveling through other regions of China, she settled in Chengdu. She plans trips that take visitors beyond the main sights, with opportunities to meet residents and hear the stories that give each place its character.

Raven Zhong is a WildChina travel designer with a background in cultural heritage research and Land Resource Management. After two years working on historic district revitalization in Guangzhou, she brings a close eye to the stories held in old streets. Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English, she can also create custom maps for the journeys she designs.

Originally from Italy’s Lake Como region, Sara Bergamin found a second home in Chengdu after studying Chinese language and culture, including six months in Hainan. With three years of experience in adventure and luxury travel, she designs comfortable journeys grounded in local food, stories, and conversations. She speaks Italian, English, Portuguese, and Chinese.

Sara Liu is a Guangdong-based travel designer with Hakka roots and a decade of experience. A keen traveler and food lover, she enjoys discovering local cuisines wherever she goes. Sara plans each detail carefully but believes an itinerary should also leave space to sit quietly, take in a village, and experience a place without rushing through it.

Originally from Xuancheng in Anhui Province, Shiming Zuo is now based in Beijing. A cultural exchange program helped turn her interest in travel into a career. She is a meticulous planner who also enjoys a surprise: for one couple, she arranged a picnic at the Great Wall after their hike. Her own travels include a solo Silk Road journey toward Uzbekistan.

Raised in Xinjiang, Shiyu Li draws on Mongolian, Miao, and Han heritage, as well as time spent living abroad, to design journeys through western China. Shiyu has a particular interest in the Silk Road and Xinjiang’s cultures. A keen ice climber and desert trekker, Shiyu brings firsthand outdoor experience to each trip.

Yuwei Tian has called Leshan, Taipei, the Netherlands, and Shanghai home. Living in these places sparked her curiosity about how culture and belief shape daily life. Fluent in Mandarin and English, she brings an interest in China’s ethnic cultures, Buddhist art, and religious traditions to the journeys she designs.
