Pallavi Sareen

Pallavi Sareen’s connection with China began when she came from Jammu and Kashmir, India, to study as a Schwarzman Scholar at Tsinghua University. Alongside her master’s coursework in public policy and leadership, she spent weekends and school breaks traveling across the country.

The people Pallavi met along the way shaped how she experienced each destination. She has now visited all but four of China’s provinces, gathering firsthand knowledge that she brings to her work as a travel designer at WildChina.

Pallavi begins each trip by learning what matters to the traveler. She uses that understanding to plan journeys with opportunities to meet local people and experience the places that have stayed with her from her own travels.
