AI Policy

“My colleague asked me, in the age of AI, what is WildChina’s advantage? People, I said.”

— Mei Zhang, Founder, WildChina

Companies all over the world are working to harness AI’s potential. With the launch of our new AI travel assistant WildConcierge, WildChina has also added AI to our arsenal. As the technology is new and AI regulation is developing unevenly, we want to be clear about WildChina’s official position on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within our organization.

Our approach to responsible AI draws inspiration from the frameworks established by industry leaders such as Google and Microsoft, which emphasize fairness, transparency, accountability, and human oversight in the development and application of AI. Our goal is to leverage AI only to improve internal efficiency and support our team in doing their best work. Thus:

  • We do not use AI to generate images or photographs. All of our visuals are real and authentic.
  • We do not use AI to create content. We have a rigorous process for pitching, writing, and editing our blog posts and other website content.
  • We do not trust AI blindly, and always fact-check and monitor its output.
  • AI will NOT replace the human expertise that defines our service. Emails and inquiries are answered personally by our travel designers, who are passionate travelers themselves and knowledgeable about their home country.
  • All AI use complies with WildChina’s privacy policy, and no client personal information or sensitive business data is input into AI tools without proper safeguards.

As AI continues to evolve, we remain vigilant in its use, ensuring it supports our people in a responsible way.
