Faina Zhang

Faina Zhang graduated from Lanzhou University, where she studied Russian. Her travels have taken her to 34 of China’s provincial-level regions, giving her firsthand experience of the country’s varied landscapes and cultures. She has also driven some of its most demanding routes, including the G318, the Xinjiang–Tibet route, and the Sichuan–Tibet route.

Faina has a year of experience as a travel designer, with a focus on community-based experiences in Zhangjiajie. She has also planned many trips for families with children and understands how much the details matter when different ages are traveling together. She draws on her own journeys to shape itineraries that work for the people taking them.
