Hong Kong
Hong Kong

Along with New York, London and Tokyo, Hong Kong is one of the fastest-paced metropolises in the world. Once a cluster of quiet fishing villages scattered across islands, starting in the mid-19th century Hong Kong transformed into a major trade port and later an international financial center under British rule. A Special Administrative Region of mainland China since 1997, Hong Kong remains a frenetic financial hub with a combination of modern, towering skyscrapers and remnants of its fishing village past.

About this Journey

Enjoy the luxury of a bygone era in the heart of a modern metropolis. Discover a glittering skyline and pulsing financial hub sitting within the embrace of natural wilderness. The hustle and bustle of a rustic Chinese market hidden between futuristic skyscrapers and shy fishing villages tucked just out of view of the inescapable influence of the city’s colonial past. Hong Kong is a city of exhilarating contrasts, awaiting your discovery at every turn.

What we love
  • Taking in Hong Kong’s glittering skyline from Victoria Peak, where emerald hills frame a panorama of skyscrapers and Victoria Harbour.
  • Immersing yourself in the street life of Sham Shui Po, from bustling markets and historic architecture to stories in a local’s home.
  • Discovering Macau’s layered history, from pastel-colored Senado Square to the intricate stone façade of the Ruins of St. Paul’s.
