Content Creator (Taiwan)

We are seeking a creative and culturally knowledgeable Freelance Content Creator based in Taiwan to produce engaging photo, video, and written content for our social media platforms. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about Taiwan’s culture and history and wants to share its stories with the world. You’ll work closely with our Social Media Manager to create content that resonates with our English-speaking audience across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

Location:

Remote (Taiwan-based)

Responsibilities: 

• Creating high-quality written, photo, and video content showcasing Taiwan’s culture, history, landscapes, and travel experiences
• Developing engaging social media posts tailored to Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn audiences
• Capturing authentic moments and stories that align with WildChina’s brand voice and values
• Collaborating with the Social Media Manager to plan and execute content calendars
• Staying current with social media trends and best practices to maximize engagement
• Responding to audience engagement to help build our online community
• Participating in sponsored travel opportunities throughout Taiwan to create on-location content

Required skills and qualifications: 

• Language: Fluent or equivalent proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Portfolio: Proven track record of content creation for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, and/or LinkedIn) – please provide samples
• Skills:
  • Strong photography and videography skills (mobile and/or professional equipment)
  • Excellent storytelling and copywriting abilities
  • Proficiency with content editing tools and apps
  • Understanding of social media algorithms and engagement strategies
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of Taiwan’s culture, history, and local insights
• Soft Skills: Creative, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently
• Location: Must be based in Taiwan

Preferred additional qualifications: 

• Experience in travel, tourism, or hospitality content creation
• Experience with drone photography/videography and safe drone operation
• Knowledge of additional languages (Mandarin Chinese is a plus)
• Familiarity with content management systems and scheduling tools
• Experience working with international or multicultural brands
• Background in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field
