A Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Dr. Evan Pinto has spent over a decade guiding others through the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). After earning his degree from the Pacific College of Health and Science in New York, he deepened his studies at the Beijing Traditional Medicine Training Center of the World Federation of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Societies and later interned at Shanghai’s Shu Guang Hospital.
Since relocating to Shanghai in 2012, Dr. Evan has built a thriving private practice and lectured for four years at the Shanghai University of TCM. His approach combines academic rigor with personal experience — inspired by his own healing journey after a sports injury, he now works to help others find balance through TCM’s holistic frameworks.
Dr. Evan specializes in making complex ideas approachable, offering thoughtful introductions to foundational concepts such as yin-yang theory, the five elements, meridian pathways, herbal remedies, and food therapy. He has also co-authored a series of cookbooks based on TCM nutritional principles with Kimberly Ashton of Qi Food Therapy.
With a deep-rooted connection to China — his grandfather was part of the historic 1972 diplomatic delegation that fostered cross cultural exchanges — Dr. Evan creates welcoming, insight-rich experiences that offer travelers a meaningful entry point into Chinese medicine and wellness culture.
