Jonathan Lopez

Jonathan is a Content Strategy Manager at Bytedance, China’s premier content sharing platform. Bytedance’s core developments include Toutiao (“headlines”), TikTok, and Douyin (the Chinese version of TikTok). In 2018, ByteDance reported over 800 million daily users and was valued as one of the most valuable unicorns in the world.

Jonathan was born and raised in Colombia. He studied in Canada and interned for the United Nations in Ecuador before moving to China as a Tsinghua University Schwarzman Scholar. Post-graduation, Jonathan has spoken at Schwarzman Scholar events around the world and was the Alumni Ambassador to the 2019 One Young World summit in London, U.K.
