Zhang Jianlin is a renowned archaeologist and researcher at the Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology. He graduated from Northwest University in 1982, majoring in archeology. Since then, he has been engaged in Tibetan archaeology and Sui and Tang archaeology for more than 30 years.
He has participated in many projects relating to the excavation of Tibetan cultural relics in Shaanxi and has led a number of digs at the Tang Dynasty tomb site in the same province.
